Crew neck long sleeve unisex tee shirt – black print on sand. Recreates the design of the garment worn by Claude Cahun in her 1927 self-portrait.

Cahun was a French photographer and sculptor whose work and life examined and explored gender and transformation. While Cahun did not formally identify as non-binary (since such terminology has not been developed), in 1930 she declared “Masculine? Feminine? It depends on the situation. Neuter is the only gender that always suits me,” a statement that quite clearly presaged our modern understanding of gender fluidity and non-binary identity.
