Jen Elizabeth

Jen Elizabeth is the Director of Street Engagement & Trauma Informed Services with The Sidewalk Project. She is a Certified Trauma Recovery Coach specializing in childhood and sexual trauma with a specific concentration on gender-based violence (GBV) within those experiences.

Jen’s journey of nearly two decades unhoused, engaging in survival sex work, a person who injected drugs (PWID), and getting caught in the cycle of incarceration including state prison has provided her with invaluable lived experiences that she brings to all areas of her life today.

She actively contributes to multiple Community Advisory Boards, gives regular lectures at prestigious institutions like UCLA, the University of Southern California, and UCI about medical violence within clinical settings, and consults with various service providers, offering valuable insight rooted in her personal experiences.

She writes and paints as an extension of her activism and her storytelling. Most of her art is centered around religious trauma and gender-based violence as she has had to endure both throughout her life.

She says she will create until all women are free from the story of Eve.
