F.R. Latimer

F.R.Latimer is a photographer, historian/educator, mental performance consultant, & author.

He has spent much of his life in classrooms as both a student and professor at the university and prep levels.

He began his fine art career with his project “City Upon a Hill: Hopes in America,” inaugurating the project with a 6-week trans-continental journey by train, meeting people, hearing their stories and creating their portraits.

His work emphasizes a collaborative ‘conversation’ between artist, subject, and viewer with the aim of allowing his audience to ‘meet’ his subjects on their own terms.

Beyond the art world, he serves as a board member for Impact Personal Safety, an assault prevention non-profit.
